Page 16 would have been out if it wasn’t for one little thing. I noticed some lighting issues in one of the panels—of course it had to be the panel that took about six hours to render. So I have that panel rendering now, and I think it should be another five or so hours before its done. Look for Page 16 sometime tomorrow night. Never mind that; not much dialog. Page 16 has been uploaded!
Thought I’d let you guys know, but finally…the gallery is up!
I’m updating early this week. I finished Page 15 a bit sooner than I thought I would and I’m rendering Page 16 out as I type this. I made the decision to switch back to raytraced shadows after having to jump through hoops to correct some of the artifacts that the depthmapped shadows left in a few of the panels for Page 15. The drawback to raytraced shadows is that the render takes a little longer and the Firefly64 renderer seems a little more crash-prone when I set the bucket-size to 16 or lower to try and speed the render up a bit. Maybe Smith Micro broke something with the SR1 release? And don’t even get me started on just how crash-prone Poser becomes when you try to use the OpenGL preview >_>
I have a tentative idea of how I want the new website to look; part of it is going to involve reworking the webcomic manager. I need to anyway, since I get some kind of error when I upload a comic. I also have something in celebration of Silent Shadow’s 3rd Anniversary. Be warned, it does contain nudity!
