Current Series Synopsis
There is something stalking the streets of Minneapolis, and it’s preying on innocent girls. It falls to the resident Guardian, Syleth Reshay to stop the killer before it strikes again…
The Comic
Silent Shadow is an open-ended action/adventure/fantasy webcomic. The plot is your basic crime-solving, stop-the-bad-guy stuff with a lot of fantasy thrown in. The storyline mostly centers around Syleth Reshay—a somewhat bad-tempered, foul-mouthed half-demon sorceress with a penchant for guns and muscle cars; and Rowan Andurs—a womanizing wolf-demon (or Lycan—take your pick) who seems to get himself into situations that requires rescuing, usually by Syleth.
If we want to go way way back to the beginning, then perhaps the very first concepts for Silent Shadow came about when I was in high school (ca. 1992). Mostly told in the form of either short stories or notebook sketches, they were mostly fan-service for whatever comic book, tv- or cartoon-series I happened to be a fan of at the time, which around 1992/1993, would have been Superforce and Star Trek: TNG, the X-Men cartoon series and whatever books I happened to be reading during the time— involved a hardy dose of Anne McCaffrey, David Eddings and Mercedes Lackey.
About Me
Not much to say about me, except that I just recently hit the 30 mark. I am currently a student at the Art Institutes International Minnesota, in the Web Design & Interactive Media Bachelor’s program. I’ve been into science fiction, fantasy, anime, manga, comic books, etc. to some greater or lesser extent for twenty-five of my thirty years. I’ve had at least nine years of experience in web design: ten years of HTML/CSS, two years of Active Server Pages (honestly, I don’t use ASP anymore), seven years of PHP/MySQL (my preferred combination, actually) as well as some JavaScript and Flash. I’ve also had nine years of working with both Dreamweaver (when it was still Macromedia) and Adobe Photoshop, about seven with Illustrator and finally, seven years of working with Poser.
