It’s coming; it’s coming. I started rendering out last night but I have to take a pause so I can edit footage for a class final project that is due next week. Anyway, I expect to have Page 19 up by March 31st, and hopefully, I’ll be able to working on Page 20 at the same time and have that up before I go back to classes on April 6th.
On a related note, I put up a tutorial on creating “ambient occlusion” catchers in Poser which can be found at my other website, Dumpster-fairy.com [link].
I’ve created a Twitter account for updates if anyone is interested in following. At some point here, I’m probably going to create a Feedburner account for the RSS feed for the comic and after looking over the code for my WordPress plugin, Manga+Press; I realize that I am very close to having a standalone comic CMS. It’s something to consider and it would also give me an excuse to resurrect my MiniBlogger project from a few years ago.
And finally, I do have plans to redesign the site. The reason I went back to my old layout is I wasn’t very satisfied with the one I had created back at the beginning of this year. I think it had more to do with trying to follow the crowd and emulate what everyone else was doing. I think I’ve come to the conclusion that is I’m going to succeed as a designer, I need to do my own thing and not be afraid to stand out. Anyway, I’m thinking that I want the new site to be more user-interactive and I’ve been saying all along that I’d like to add a message board to the site as well as maybe a small e-store through CafePress (stationary, posters, etc.) Something that would help pay for web hosting costs.
So I guess we’ll wait and see
